Vegetable Fried Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf

300g Cooked Fragrance 43°N Jilin Japonica Rice
1 pc Fresh lotus leaf
100g Carrots
4pcs Large Chinese mushrooms, soaked
4 pcs Asparagus
50g Salty preserved radish (soaked and rinsed with water)
50g Sweet preserved radish (rinsed with water)
2 Fragrant garlic

1 tbsp Light soya sauce
Dash of Ground white pepper
1 tbsp Cooking oil​

  • Rinse lotus leaf clean, blanch leaf in boiling water to soften the leaf.

  • Dice all ingredients, then blanch in boiling water until cooked.

  • Preheat cooking oil in wok; add all ingredients to be stir fried. Add rice and 1 tablespoon of light soya sauce and continue to stir fry until contents are well mixed. Add pepper.

  • Place fried rice in lotus leaf, wrap it up and steam in a steamer for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
